Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) is common name of a number of garden flowers. These plants are most easily recognized by their flowers. They have yellow flowers with a brownish-purple center. Domed center is surrounded by bright yellow ray florets. Thrives in most soils in full sun. Black-eyed Susan grow in gardens, fields, and roadsides. Blooming period: June-August.
